Google Keep introduces new feature for side-by-side multi-account support

Google Keep on Android tablets and foldable devices now supports multiple accounts when two instances of the app are open. This feature was first introduced for large-screen devices last year, allowing users to open a second instance of the app in split-screen mode to view two notes simultaneously.

With the latest update, users can now combine multi-instance support with multi-account support. This means you can have one account open on the left side of the screen and another on the right side, making it easier to work, display, and organize content across multiple accounts.

To take advantage of this feature, simply select a note from the home screen, open it in a new window from the overflow menu, and switch accounts by tapping the back arrow in the top left corner. While signing in to another account can be a bit complicated, you cannot use the system’s Recents-Split multitasking menu to select Google Keep, as it can only be opened in one window.

Having two windows open side by side provides a better view of your notes and offers more flexibility in organizing your content. This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers, individual Workspace subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts. It can be accessed with app version 5.24.242.03.90 starting today.
