According to a report by Google, the $ 500 million acquisition of Israeli startup Siemplify is set to help the company strengthen its own Chronicle cloud security initiative Reuters. In a blog post to announce the deal, Google describes Siemplify as a Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) organization and plans to integrate its capabilities into Chronicle.

“Siemplify is an intuitive workbench that enables security teams to both better manage risks and reduce the costs of countering threats,” says Sunil Potti, Vice President of Google Cloud Security, in the blog post. “Siemplify enables analysts at the Security Operation Center to manage their operations consistently, to react quickly and precisely to cyber threats and to become more intelligent with every interaction with analysts.”
