Google recently introduced the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, which come with unique software features such as Magic Editor, Video Boost, and Audio Magic Editor. These features were initially exclusive to the Pixel 8 series but will now be available on older Pixel phones as well.
Magic Editor is a set of image editing and enhancement tools that allow users to manipulate subjects, resize and delete parts of photos, and apply realistic filters. However, there seems to be a limitation on the number of times users can save an image or video, set at 10 per month. To bypass this restriction, users can either purchase a Pixel 8 series device or subscribe to the Google One 2TB plan or higher.
The free Magic Editor features are currently being rolled out to some Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 series phones, with reports indicating that the process may take some time before all users can access it. Google plans to eventually make Magic Editor available to all Google Photos users, including those on iOS devices.
Aside from Magic Editor, other AI-powered photo editing features like Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Portrait Light will also be available on all Android devices. It is advised to keep the Google Photos app updated to access these features.
Overall, Google is expanding the availability of its advanced editing tools to older Pixel devices and plans to make them available to a wider range of users in the future. This move aims to enhance the user experience and provide more creative options for editing photos and videos.
