Google is bringing more cloud computing capacity to North Texas.

The company, which belongs to Alphabet, is there with the opening of a new data center Create a new Google Cloud region in Dallas, giving users additional capacity and flexibility to distribute workloads across the country.

“The Dallas region is now open to Google Cloud customers, giving you the speed and availability you need to innovate faster and build high-performing applications that meet the needs of nearby end users,” wrote Stacy Trackey Meagher, the company’s general manager for the central region, in a blog post.

New region is part of Google’s plan to invest $9.5 billion in data centers and offices
