Google Chrome dominates the global browser market with over 65% share, while Safari is making gains in the US with 32%. Google recently unveiled new features like Chrome Action and revamped the address bar to enhance user experience on Android and iOS. Chrome’s customizable suggestions and Discover feed offer a personalized browsing experience, with live sports cards coming soon. Despite its high processing power and RAM requirement, Chrome stands out with features like text-to-speech for Android and seamless cross-device syncing.

Chrome’s lead over other browsers globally is significant, with Safari in second place with 18% and Edge trailing with 5% market share. However, in the US, Safari is catching up with 32% market share compared to Chrome’s 52%. To attract more Apple ecosystem users, Chrome is launching five new features on Android and iOS, including Chrome Action for quick access to essential tasks and a revamped address bar on tablets for a more user-friendly experience.

The new Chrome Action streamlines tasks like making reservations by providing shortcuts to key actions like calling the restaurant or getting directions. It is now available on Chrome for Android and will roll out to iOS later. The revamped address bar design for tablets on both OS makes it easier to navigate between tabs and websites. Besides, custom search suggestions aim to predict frequently searched directions efficiently.

Live sports cards are added to the Discover feed on Chrome’s ‘new tab’ page to provide updates on favorite teams’ games automatically. While this feature aims to be customizable, some users are yet to see it on their Android and iPhone devices. Trending searches are now available on iOS through Chrome, showing popular topics others are searching for when there’s no specific search in mind. Although this feature was promised earlier and already available on Android, it has just been launched on iOS.

In conclusion, Google Chrome remains at the forefront of browser innovation with new features catering to user needs on Android and iOS devices. While Safari is gaining ground in the US market, Chrome’s dominance globally seems unchallenged for now. With continued enhancements like Chrome Action and live sports cards, Chrome aims to maintain its position as a top choice for browsing users across various platforms.
