All Android phones have overheating prevention mechanisms that reduce performance and disable features when the temperature gets high. Pixel phones may introduce an “Adaptive Thermal” feature that alerts users and suggests ways to cool down the phone. If the phone gets too hot, Adaptive Thermal will shut it down to prevent damage. The feature is still in progress and may be available with Android 15 or the new Pixel 9 series.
