Glacier High School Student Wins State Title in Doodle for Google Contest

Anitha Ravipati, a student at Glacier High School, has been named the Montana winner of the 16th annual Doodle for Google contest. Her artwork, along with the work of 55 other state and territory winners, will be featured in an online gallery where the public can vote for their favorite design. The theme of the contest, in celebration of Google’s 25th anniversary, asked K-12 students across the United States to respond to the question “My wish for the next 25 years.”

Ravipati expressed her wish to become someone who can make a lasting impact on people and help others in any way she can. She aspires to become a doctor who saves lives, and to be known as someone kind, brave, and sincere. The national winner of the contest will be announced in June and will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 college scholarship to establish or enhance a computer lab or technology program at their school. The winning doodle will also be displayed on the Google homepage for one day.

In addition to the national winner, four finalists will receive a $5,000 college scholarship and a Chromebook. The rest of the state winners will be awarded a Chromebook. Voting for the national winner will be open until June 4.

Overall, the Doodle for Google contest provides an opportunity for students to showcase their artistic skills and creativity in response to a thought-provoking theme. It also rewards winners with valuable scholarships and recognition. Anitha Ravipati’s wish for the next 25 years reflects her desire to make a positive impact on the world through her future career as a doctor.
