Governor Kemp announces commitment to technical skills training to prepare 5,500 Georgians for careers in cloud computing

Atlanta, GA – Recently, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced a collaborative initiative between the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE), the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bring cloud -Computing education and training for 5,500 students nationwide by 2024. Under this initiative, high schools and colleges in Georgia will offer cloud computing courses and degrees tailored to the skills needed to pursue in-demand technicals Careers are required.

“The tech industry in Georgia is growing rapidly with exciting job opportunities for Georgians.” said Governor Kemp. “This collaboration with AWS will ensure our citizens have access to innovative education and training to prepare them for tech jobs in Georgia.”
