George E. Hanna, age 94, of Celina, passed away peacefully at 5:40 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his home in Celina. He was born March 15, 1931, in Celina to the late Garnet and Daisy (Norris) Hanna. On November 15, 2007, he married Linda (Cooke Hegemann) Hanna, who survives at their residence in Celina.
George is also survived by his children and grandchildren: Tammy (Rex) Spence of Celina and their children, Kyle and Aaron; Heath (Julie) Hegemann of Minster and their children, Austin and Wesley; Hope (Joe) Rethman of Maria Stein and their children, Mitch, Matt, Molly, and Marcus; and Holly (Rod) Frericks of Minster and their children, Cody and Dustin. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren, with one more expected soon.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie (Martin) Hanna, and his siblings, Carl Hanna, Vernis Hanna, Clifford Hanna, Dale Hanna, Dorothy West, Virginia McGee, and Mary Meeds.
