The corporate watchdog has alerted artificial intelligence platforms to providing unregulated financial advice after new research for the regulator found that AI has become a top source of information for Generation Z.
The study, conducted in late 2025, found that 18 percent of Generation Z – people aged 18 to 28 – seek financial advice from AI platforms and 64 percent of them trust the information they receive.
