Gemini Advanced 1.5 Pro Enhances Features with Spreadsheet Upload and Data Analysis

Google has recently made updates to its Gemini Advanced platform, introducing Gemini 1.5 Pro and document upload features. Paid subscribers of Gemini Advanced can now directly upload tabular data files such as CSV and TSV, spreadsheet files including XLSX, and spreadsheets created in Google Sheets from their desktop browser or Google Drive.

However, it is important to note that mobile app uploads are currently not supported, with a limit of 10 files to be uploaded at a time, each file up to 100 MB in size. Once the data files are uploaded, users can utilize Gemini Advanced to create presentation-ready charts, customize them with options like chart type and labels, and explore data in more detail.

Gemini Advanced also allows users to upload large text files to summarize, outline, and identify trends, utilizing Gemini 1.5 Pro’s expanded context window of 1 million tokens or 1,500 pages. In the future, users will have the capability to upload larger files such as an hour of video or a code base with 30,000 lines.

The aim of these updates is to help users efficiently process, explore, analyze, and visualize their data, ultimately saving time and facilitating faster insights discovery. Google emphasizes the importance of making data analysis easier and more accessible through Gemini Advanced.

Gemini 1.5 Pro’s features and document upload capabilities are part of Google’s efforts to provide a comprehensive data analysis tool for its users. With these new updates, Gemini Advanced aims to empower users to unlock meaningful insights from their data through charts, customizations, and trend identification.

While these updates are currently available for paid subscribers, Google may consider expanding these features to more users in the future. The introduction of Gemini 1.5 Pro and document upload features align with Google’s commitment to enhancing data analysis tools and making complex data processes more user-friendly for a wider range of users.
