The upcoming release of the Intel Core Ultra 200 CPU family is eagerly anticipated for September, targeting low-power mobile devices with Copilot+ AI capabilities. Recent Geekbench leaks have provided insight into the single-core and multi-core performance of these processors.
Geekbench entries (#1, #2) shared by VideoCardz indicate a maximum frequency of 4.9 GHz on an engineering sample, with LP-Cores expected to reach 3.7 GHz. The test system used 32 GB of memory and Windows 11 Enterprise. In testing, the processor scored in the range of 2713-2739 points in the single-core test, outperforming the Core Ultra 9 185H by 20%. In multi-core performance, the CPU scored around 10,000 points, approximately 20% less than the Core Ultra 9 185H. Comparatively, the AMD Strix Point (54W) is expected to outperform the Intel CPU in single and multi-core loads.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 268V is equipped with four Lion Cove P-Cores, four Skymont E-Cores, and an Arc A140V iGPU with 8 Xe2 cores capable of boosting up to 2.0 GHz. Contrary to previous reports, the Core Ultra 7 268V is expected to be the flagship model, with the Core Ultra 9 288V variant offering higher clock speeds of 5.1 GHz and a 30 W PL1. The Ultra 7 268V will feature a 5.0 GHz clock speed and a PL1 of 17 W.
Looking ahead, the question remains whether the Lunar Lake retail samples will score higher than the leaked benchmarks. As the release date approaches, anticipation grows for the performance of these new processors in the mobile device market.
