According to the latest figures from Gartner, global end-user spending on public cloud services will grow to $ 332 billion in 2021, an annual growth rate of 23.1%.
Software as a service (SaaS) remains the largest bucket, accounting for almost 37% of total spending in 2021. Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) accounts for almost a quarter, with a platform as a service (PaaS) of 17.9% and a business process as a service (BPaaS) of 15%.
In terms of growth, Desktop as a Service (DaaS) will see the highest growth in 2021 at 67.7% year over year. Of the larger segments, IaaS performs best with 38.5%.
