AWS will host core business applications for FWD, providing agility, scalability, and resiliency as the company transitions away from on-site data centers. Past collaborations with AWS include the development of Omne by FWD and a centralized financial center.
FWD experienced growth in certificates awarded by cloud providers, including AWS Skills Guild, which trained over 600 AWS employees and contractors. Sandeep Pandey, Group Chief Technology and Operations Officer at FWD, emphasized the importance of cloud computing as a comprehensive business strategy that has enabled secure and integrated operations. The company plans to further implement generative artificial intelligence in line with their vision of revolutionizing the insurance industry.
