Having served under former FBI Director James Comey during the investigation into alleged collusion between Trump and Russia, McCabe faced his own firing by Attorney General Jeff Sessions in 2018. However, he later filed a lawsuit and regained his pension.
Former FBI Special Agent and Fox News contributor Nicole Parker shared a different perspective, noting that some FBI agents have abused their authority for political gain, while others have remained committed to upholding the law without fear of a Trump administration. Parker suggested that strong leadership could enable the FBI to acknowledge past mistakes and improve its operations.
In response to these concerns, Trump clarified in an interview that he would not seek political revenge, emphasizing the need for unity after the election.
