The former head of Dundee-based Brightsolid has moved to Amazon Web Services in Edinburgh.
Elaine Van Der Berg, who has had an international career with Dell, and other technology companies, before returning to Scotland to work as managing director of G2G3, part of Capita, and then Brightsolid, has started a fresh challenge.
Her new role involves assisting European public sector clients.
She spent eight months with the Dundee company before departing in July 2018 .
Brightsolid, privately-owned with publisher DC Thomson holding a significant share, is one of Scotland’s indigenous co-location, cloud-computing and digital storage companies but is a minnow compared with Amazon Web Services, which is now one of the largest cloud providers around the world.
AWS, which provides reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud for hundreds of thousands of businesses in 190 countries, have a development centre in central Edinburgh.
