The steep streets of San Francisco became a launching pad for motorsports as the Ford Raptor T1+ flew over them Oracle Red Bull Racing RB7 on the 11 degree incline of Broadway. The jump, performed at 45 miles per hour over a 16-degree incline into a 5-degree ramp, was to promote the Red Bull Showrun San Francisco, presented by Ford Racingwhich takes place today at the City by the Bay.
Off-road star Mitch Guthrie Jr. was behind the wheel of the T1+ machine in the Dakar Rally Ultimate class. Guthrie, a back-to-back King of the Hammers winner and recent Vegas to Reno winner, has moved into the top tier of rally raid competition as part of the Ford Performance and M-Sport campaign. On Broadway, he accelerated and sent the custom-built desert racer into the air, overtaking the RB7 in one clean motion before placing it back on the pavement with poise.
