Global communications technology player Tata Communications and technology giant Cisco have launched Webex Calling in India, strengthening their 20-year partnership. This new service, known as Webex Calling by Tata Communications, integrates Cisco’s Webex Calling with Tata Communications GlobalRapide’s cloud voice services to offer a cloud-based Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) platform. This partnership aims to deliver an intelligent interaction fabric for businesses in the digital era.

The Webex Calling service provides enterprise-grade calling through a globally available cloud platform with over 14 million users worldwide. This modern business phone system offers flexible migration options, world-class reliability, and AI-powered devices and collaboration tools to support hybrid working environments. This launch marks the first time Webex Calling will be available in India, leveraging Tata Communications’ Cloud PSTN reach and local regulatory expertise.

Businesses in India can scale their communications infrastructure using Webex Calling without upfront investments in server hardware and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Additionally, users will have access to additional collaboration workloads in the Webex Suite, including meetings, messaging, webinars, AI-powered features such as audio intelligence, and a range of devices.

In an exclusive joint interaction with Forbes India, Daisy Chittilapilly, President of Cisco India and SAARC, and Arijit Bonnerjee, Senior Vice President and Director of Tata Communications India, discussed the significance of this new partnership and the impact of AI-driven innovation.
