John Alexander, a longtime technology and homeland security executive, has stepped into a new role as IBM’s DHS Account Director.
Alexander announced the news on LinkedIn, noting his enthusiasm for bringing IBM’s commercial technologies and research investments to support DHS missions. His appointment comes after 14 years at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), where he served as DHS Account Director responsible for major portfolios across USCIS and ICE.
During his tenure at GDIT, Alexander oversaw account management, growth strategy, and delivery execution for a diverse set of programs. His portfolio spanned enterprise infrastructure, hybrid multi-cloud solutions, AI and robotic process automation, Agile DevSecOps, intelligence analysis, business training, and large-scale contact center operations.
