ET Telecom reports that AWS has chosen 24 Indian startups to participate in its space accelerator programme.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its first space accelerator program in India, selecting 24 startups from various segments of the space sector. These startups cover areas such as spacecraft propulsion, orbital and launch vehicles, satellite images, geospatial applications, meteorological analysis, and space tourism. Among the selected startups are a sustainable satellite launch vehicle and startup from Tamil Nadu, an advanced geospatial analytics startup from Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and a satellite technology-based precision agriculture startup from Gujarat. The program is part of a MoU between AWS, the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe) signed in 2023. The 14-week program will provide startups with technical expertise, specialized AWS training, mentorship, and up to $100,000 in AWS credits to develop and scale their solutions. This initiative aims to support the growing Indian space sector and tap into the opportunities it offers for innovation and growth.
