ESET launches new cloud and XDR solutions for managed service providers

Cristobal Martinez joins ESET North America as Director of MSP Channels to support partner growth

SAN DIEGO, September 29, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — ESET, a global leader in digital security, today announced the launch of new cloud and XDR solutions for managed service providers (MSPs). With the addition of ESET Inspect and ESET Inspect Cloud to the ESET PROTECT platform, MSPs and their business customers now have access to dedicated XDR security solutions – available on-premises or via the cloud. ESET has also introduced a brand new ESET Direct Endpoint Management plugin for Kaseya VSA as well as native ARM support for macOS.

“With this launch, our MSP partners will have access to a sophisticated, cloud-based EDR solution and new state-of-the-art tools with ESET PROTECT, supporting their growth and productivity and enabling increased visibility of their networks,” he said Ryan Grant, Vice President of Sales for ESET North America. “MSP environments are complex – they support a wide range of customers across a variety of industries. The ESET PROTECT platform provides a unified ecosystem with a single console to view, manage and protect business customers.”

Since 2014, ESET has been protecting MSP partners around the world with its dedicated MSP program. Supported by ongoing research into the cybersecurity threat landscape, the company continues to innovate to enable continuous progress for channel partners. Today’s launch includes:

ESET Inspect Cloud for MSP: ESET Inspect Cloud, previously released for the enterprise market, is a sophisticated cloud-based tool that allows MSPs to evolve the ESET PROTECT platform into an XDR solution for enterprise-level security and risk management functions, including advanced threat hunting, incident response and full network visibility, cloud-based threat prevention, and more. ESET Inspect and ESET Inspect Cloud can be accessed through ESET’s MSP admin platform currently used by partners.

EDM Kaseya VSA Management: ESET offers plugins that support the main RMM and PSA players. Today the company released a brand new ESET Direct Endpoint Management plugin for MSPs, which uses the Kaseya VSA Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tool. The ESET Direct Endpoint Management plugin for Kaseya VSA offers MSPs a wide range of features, from quick installation and deployment to policy management, allowing for a very high level of automation. Last but not least, there is no need to install an additional cloud or on-premises console as the plugin works from Kaseya VSA and communicates directly with endpoints.

Flexible billing: The new offering gives current and prospective MSP customers access to a simplified digital security platform with MSP-optimized solutions that are easy to use, help minimize their day-to-day operations, and enable MSPs to deploy best-in-class security to empower their own to cement customers’ trust. ESET is known for its flexible, no-obligation, self-service billing model that allows MSP partners to pay on a monthly, usage-based basis for the subscriptions they actually need.

ARM Advancements: As Mac adoption continues to grow in the SMB and enterprise markets, ESET has added native ARM support for macOS to its EDR and XDR solutions. This follows ESET’s introduction of native ARM support for Windows earlier this year and helps MSP partners stay competitive in the market.

“When organizations need next-generation hardened cybersecurity solutions, ESET’s approach to layered security plus real-time intelligence sets us apart,” said Grant. “We have hundreds of experts and researchers in 13 R&D centers around the world analyzing never-before-seen threats, tracking sophisticated activities of APT groups, and creating resources for our partner community to keep them up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity concerns. This intelligence is embedded in our advanced EDR and XDR solutions for next-generation prevention, detection and response.”

Cristóbal (Cris) Martinez has joined ESET North America as Director of MSP Channels, where he will manage the MSP program and support the long-term growth of the partners. Martinez joined ESET from Malwarebytes where he acquired, built and managed as Senior Director, RMM and Strategic Partnership, RMM\ISV\OEM strategic partners and the GTM sales strategy for the MSP channel business North America. He also created their MSP affiliate program. Prior to Malwarebytes, he worked at Webroot as a Senior Product Manager for MSP.

“We are very pleased that Cris has joined our team to lead the MSP business – enabling MSP partners to capitalize on the significant market opportunity for SMBs with advanced security offerings and intelligence,” he said Brent McCarty, President of ESET North America. “Today’s platform release marks a major step forward for ESET in the MSP space. Cris is a recognized veteran in the industry and I am confident that with his strong leadership we will continue to expand our support for MSPs across the country.”

“ESET has a tremendous opportunity to assert itself North America – supported by new leadership, investment in innovation and commitment to a channel-first business model,” said Martinez. Combined with an impressive research team around the world, the ESET ecosystem equips our channel partners with the latest intelligence, resources and active protection against never-before-seen threats.”
