ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS – The district is suing its former IT pro, claiming it did not archive any official emails and was fraudulent and negligent.
The lawsuit filed late last month alleges that Intrep Solutions, which began working in the community in 2012, and owner Cameron Arabi led officials to believe that the official email server was archiving emails, which it didn’t was the case.
According to the lawsuit, the district was relocated to Microsoft Office in 2017 and Arabi was appointed global administrator of the account to give him “proper authority” to ensure that emails were archived and that he could keep audit logs for security reasons.
Intrep was responsible for “timely and regular support and updates for the Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange Server, network firewall, system security, backup appliance, Linux, antivirus and other software applications for the administrative offices, the police and department for public works, “the suit …
