The head of Google’s parent company said people shouldn’t “blindly trust” everything artificial intelligence tools tell them.
In an interview with the BBC, Alphabet chief executive Sundar Pichai said AI models are “error-prone” and urged people to use them alongside other tools.
In the same interview, Pichai warned that no company would be immune if the AI bubble bursts.
Since May, Google has introduced an “AI mode” to its search with its Gemini chatbot, designed to give users the experience of speaking to an expert.
Google’s consumer AI model, Gemini 3.0, is expected to launch soon, but the company has not yet announced a date.
Pichai said that while AI tools are helpful “if you want to write something creatively,” people “need to learn to use these tools for what they are good at and not blindly trust everything they say.”
He told the BBC: “We are proud of the amount of work we put in to give us the most accurate information possible…”
