Finally, we’ll be playing Lost Ark before Diablo 4.
It’s E3 season and one of the surprise pieces of news this year comes from Amazon of all places. Amazon Games announced today that it will Lost Ark to North America and Europe in the fall, with a beta for this summer.
Lost Ark is an action role-playing game that is similar in many ways to Diablo and has been released in Korea for years. The free-to-play MMO was hugely successful in Korea and Japan, and has since spread to Russia – but a Western release has remained elusive for the whole time. Well not anymore.
Amazon Games will release Lost Ark in a number of countries in North America and Europe. In addition, Amazon Game Studios will localize the game – both text and spoken dialogue – in English, French, German and Spanish.
Lost Ark was developed by Smilegate RPG (a branch of the Crossfire publisher Smilegate) and is set in Arkesia, a huge world with a large number of visually different biomes. The current version offers 15 classes and can be played solo or in co-op – but always online. Lost Ark features stunning graphics and action-packed battles.
Western players have been trying to get their hands on it for years, and those who couldn’t wait for a localized version had to rely on fan translations and VPNs to play it.
If you’re curious if you live in a Supported Country, here’s what Amazon means by “North America and Europe”: Canada, Mexico, USA, Albania, Andorra,
