JFrog, the company best known for its platform that helps developers manage software deployment and updates on an on-going basis, has entered a deal to expand its presence and expertise in an area increasingly linked to DevOps is: security. The company is acquiring Vdoo, which has developed an AI-based platform that can identify and fix vulnerabilities in the software systems that work and sit on IoT and connected devices. The deal – a mix of cash and stocks – is worth roughly $ 300 million, JFrog confirmed to me.
