The Bungie 30th Anniversary Celebration is live and, as fans suspected, Halo items will be on display Fate 2 including weapons based on Halo weapons such as the Battle Rifle and Energy Sword.
When Bungie announced its 30th anniversary, the company announced that it would be celebrating its entire past with items inspired by classic Bungie games like Marathon. But the biggest Bungie streak of them all, Halo, wasn’t mentioned. Even so, fans expected Bungie to honor that part of the company’s history, and today the company has.
Destiny 2 – Guns and Cosmetics for the 30th Anniversary
The Halo weapons and cosmetics in Destiny 2 have different names. For example, the Magnum is called the Forerunner Exotic Sidearm or, in the case of the Battle Rifle, the BxR-55 Battler. These 7 weapons are available for free to anyone who plays Destiny 2.
More Halo-inspired items can be seen in a new anniversary trailer. One such item is a sparrow, which is said to resemble a covenant spirit. Plus a ghost shell with a halo ring around it.
The Halo-themed items complement other Bungie cosmetic products, including a Claymore sword from Myth and a shotgun from Marathon. The 30th anniversary event also includes a new dungeon, a new activity and another chance, the famous Gjallarhorn rocket launcher.
While the Halo-themed items are free for everyone, the Gjallarhorn and other new exotics are only available to Destiny 2 players who purchase the 30th Anniversary Pack. The package comes separately or as part of a bundle with the Upcoming Witch Queen expansion.
