This year marks the 30th anniversary of Bungie, and to celebrate, the developer has a new event in. added Fate 2, filled with loot inspired by the company’s past. Of course, this means multiple references to the gloriole Franchise, although Bungie takes care to avoid direct references to the series as it is owned by Microsoft. Even so, the trailer for the new event contains a number of clear allusions to the Xbox shooter, including a sidearm that closely resembles the Magnum, a power sword, a reference to Armor Lock, and more. The Bungie 30th Anniversary Event is now available in-game for $ 24.99.

You can find the trailer for Bungie’s 30th anniversary event in the embedded tweet below.

As part of the event, players will be able to try a new dungeon, The Grasp of Greed. The three-player dungeon was “inspired by the famous cosmodrome loot caves of yore” and challenges players to look for the Thorn armor set and the exotic Gjallarhorn rocket launcher. While the Halo-inspired content and new dungeon are easily the highlight, there is plenty of other content. One of the most notable additions is the Bungie Streetwear Ornament Set, which features clothing inspired by the ’90s when Bungie first made the scene. It’s all gaudy on purpose, but looks pretty good at the same time!

The event looks like a fun event to longtime Bungie fans. Information about the anniversary event was leaked back in August, but the fans should be happy that the time has finally come. On social media, some fans have lamented the price of the content, but for players who have been with Bungie since the early days, this anniversary event seems like a welcome one!

Fate 2 is currently available on Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Google stadiums, and Pc. You can check out all of our previous coverage of the game exactly here.
