A computer system “starts with a limited number of components and limited options, so you have manageable parameters to arrive at a system outcome,” says John Roese, Dell Technologies CTO, products and operations. “As the system becomes stable and the system is used, there’s a diversification of the creative element of what we’re using it for – people figuring out what to do with it, which nobody considered when we brought the system to life This diversification, Roese claims, is naturally driving all computing platforms, including the cloud, to become more open.
