Dell Technologies and Nutanix have formed a new partnership to make hybrid and private multicloud deployments more seamless for customers. The collaboration will involve Dell selling a hyperconverged appliance that combines Nutanix Cloud Platform with its own servers. This partnership will also include joint engineering, marketing, support, and services efforts.
Additionally, Dell’s PowerFlex software-defined storage devices will be integrated into the joint solutions, allowing customers to easily extend Dell’s scalable storage to Nutanix software. These solutions will be available through Dell’s sales teams and partners globally.
Tarkan Maner, chief commercial officer at Nutanix, stated that the collaboration will provide customers with a unified platform to manage their various on-premises, public cloud, and edge applications. He emphasized that this partnership will offer greater flexibility, simplified operations, and increased resiliency to joint Dell and Nutanix customers.
Arthur Lewis, president of Dell’s infrastructure solutions group, highlighted that the alliance will combine the performance and resiliency of Dell solutions with the ease of use and flexibility of Nutanix Cloud Platform. Lewis noted that customers are increasingly adopting a multi-cloud approach and need the freedom to choose their preferred cloud solutions provider.
The joint solutions developed by Dell and Nutanix are currently in progress and will be accessible to customers in early access later this year. Eleanor Dickinson reported on this partnership while attending the Next conference as a guest of Nutanix.
