At the Decatur County Commissioner meeting on Tuesday, January 12th, Tonya Griffin presented a contractual agreement with Decatur E911 to provide 911 with a variety of new security features and upgrades, as well as a new full-time IT service, Blough Tech, Inc.

Blough Tech is based in Cairo and has specialized in serving small businesses for over 20 years. Prior to this contract, Roy Reynolds of the Decatur County’s Sheriff’s Department had managed IT for 911. Reynolds recently retired and initiated the search for a new service.

Blough Tech not only offers dedicated IT, but also a backup service. This was previously provided by Carbonite.
