David Greene talks with LNP about lawsuit against Google [video]

Longtime broadcast journalist and podcaster David Greene, who is interim publisher of LNP Media Group, has sued Google in a California state court, alleging Google stole his voice for an AI tool called NotebookLM.

Google has denied the claim, saying it didn’t use Greene’s voice at all for its NotebookLM tool, which generates a podcast-style show based on information the user provides. In public responses, Google has said it instead used a professional actor, but did not reveal the name of the actor. Greene is seeking damages, though his legal complaint does not name a specific amount.
