Dan Ives remains bullish on Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) after the chipmaker’s recent retreat, viewing the pullback as a possible entry point rather than a warning sign.
Wedbush analyst Dan Ives retained his Outperform rating and $300 price target, viewing the latest share-price weakness as a potential entry point.
Shares slipped roughly 5% over the previous two sessions as semiconductor stocks came under pressure. Investor concerns include borrowing costs and the expense of financing new AI data-center capacity.
Ives argues that spending remains supported by contracts and cash generation at major cloud providers. Nvidia’s preliminary fiscal 2028 outlook points to revenue growth of about 70%, with restricted supply expected to remain a bottleneck.
The analyst’s thesis also encompasses Nvidia’s wider technology portfolio. Networking equipment, integrated computing systems and CUDA software work alongside its graphics processors, giving the company exposure to several parts of AI infrastructure. Ives expects investment to extend beyond training models toward reasoning applications, autonomous agents and robotics, potentially creating additional demand for computing capacity.
