AI security startup Dam Secure has raised $6.1 million in seed funding in a round led by Washington DC-based cybersecurity and AI investor Paladin Capital Group to combat the security risks posed by putting AI-generated code into production at scale.
The oversubscribed round also received support from Pieter Danhieux, CEO of Secure Code Warrior, Anthony Woodward, CEO of RecordPoint, Phaedon Stough, founder of Innovation Bay, and Steen Andersson, Chief Product Officer of Tyro Payments. Paladin Capital Managing Director Mourad Yesayan will join the company’s board.
The increase comes as companies are rapidly adopting AI coding assistants, accelerating software release while introducing new classes of security risks that existing tools struggle to catch.
