Ferguson uses Azure Arc to extend its on-premises Azure services
Ferguson, the largest plumbing wholesaler in the United States, uses Azure Arc to centrally manage thousands of servers in different locations by extending Azure to its on-premises data centers. Ferguson’s IT department can now use the Azure portal to easily monitor, update and control all IT systems across the company using the Azure portal by grouping and tagging them. Ferguson uses Azure Arc-enabled servers, Kubernetes and data services and has unified its IT operations with Azure Arc, its IT resources in Azure and its data centers in a single control plane.

Ferguson manages over 5,000 virtual machines and plans to migrate most of these virtual machines to the cloud. However, with limited cloud services in some regions, it has been difficult for the company to deliver the containerization capabilities its customers need to meet their business needs and goals.
By using Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes and Azure Arc-enabled data services, Africa’s Talking can manage multiple Kubernetes clusters and deliver data services wherever they are needed from a central control point. To help its customers deliver new and exciting services while meeting data sovereignty, latency and other business needs, Africa’s Talking needs to configure, deploy and run multiple clusters in both on-premises data centers and public clouds.
Africa’s Talking also uses GitOps configuration management in Azure Arc. The team no longer has to manually configure each cluster.

Siemens Healthineers provides on-site services for customers’ medical devices
The healthcare industry has been challenged this year to innovate faster than ever. However, companies must continue to guarantee their customers’ data protection and comply with their data sovereignty regulations. KPMG Japan offers customers seamless data solutions
KPMG Ignition Tokyo, at the heart of KPMG Japan’s digital strategy, implemented Azure Arc-enabled data services and Azure Arc-enabled Kubernetes to leverage their low-cost, secure cloud solution, Cloud Next, to give customers 24/7 support and hosting can use their digital solutions.
Due to the confidentiality of some customer data, KPMG cannot put all data workloads on public clouds. However, KPMG needs to manage its data workloads through a single pane of glass and leverage cloud benefits such as full automation and elastic scaling. With Azure Arc-enabled data services, KPMG can take advantage of Azure innovations in any on-premises infrastructure or in a multicloud environment and use Kubernetes on the hardware of their choice.
