Culture Amp, the employee experience tracking startup valued at more than $2 billion and headquartered in Melbourne, has reportedly fired a senior artificial intelligence specialist less than three months after its launch, in part because he complained about how unclear his role was.

Gareth Roberts, a former data scientist at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and head of artificial intelligence at insurer Neos, joined Culture Amp in September as lead AI specialist.
