New cloud computing and artificial intelligence programs

Crossware, the New Zealand owned SaaS provider of Crossware
Mail Signature, will be developing several leading-edge
technologies to add to its offering and accelerating its
global expansion. This is off the back of the company being
awarded an R&D Growth Grant for up to $5M a year from
Callaghan Innovation, the New Zealand Government’s hi-tech
innovation agency.

Crossware’s founder and CEO Per
Andersen says the grant is a significant milestone for the
business, who has already led the way in email signature
innovation with their flagship product, Crossware Mail
Signature.

The co-funding is one of the last Callaghan
Innovation Growth Grants allocated as the government works
toward the alternative R&D tax credit. The Growth Grant will
be used to enhance the Crossware Mail Signature product with
new capabilities and new technology.

Andersen says the
R&D activities will enable the 20-year-old Kiwi company to
accelerate its expansion into global markets, supporting and
growing its overseas business operations.

“Ninety-eight
percent of Crossware’s revenue comes from international
sales. At the moment we have people on the ground in the UK
and the United States. We envisage that the enhancements we
can make to the product will help us grow sales in both the
United States and UK, enabling us to expand our teams in
each country,” Andersen says.

Crossware offers email
signature software for Office 365, Exchange and IBM Domino.
The solution enables professional looking email signatures
and disclaimers to be automatically included on every email
leaving a company to ensure consistent branding,
professional looking emails and no forgotten disclaimers.

A Microsoft partner, Crossware pioneered the creation of
the first email signature solution for Microsoft Office 365,
changing the way company signatures were formatted and
delivered through its intelligent and dynamic email
signature application.

Andersen says the company is
honoured to receive the co-funding from Callaghan Innovation
and sees it as an important recognition of what Crossware
has already achieved and the potential of the business.

“We are hugely appreciative of this government support.
The support from Callaghan Innovation validates the success
and direction of our company and recognises the significant
opportunities Crossware can leverage globally by speeding up
our development and growth,” he says.

“It is our
mission to scale and develop our world-class technology,
continually exceeding our customers’ expectations with
sleek, context-sensitive and intelligent email signatures.
Now with the government support, we can deliver this much
faster”, Andersen continues.

Callaghan Innovation plays
a vital role in New Zealand’s growth. The agency is an
important hub for high tech companies through all stages of
growth and provides a range of innovation and research and
development services, including grant co-funding to help
support technology
businesses.
