Every weekday, the CNBC Investing Club with Jim Cramer holds a “Morning Meeting” livestream at 10:20 a.m. ET. Here’s a recap of Tuesday’s key moments. 1. The S & P 500 was little changed following Monday’s relatively flat session. Jim Cramer said that despite starting “really ugly” on Tuesday, the market picked up some steam thanks to a reversal in Treasury yields. “We had higher rates [yields], so let’s not lose sight of what’s still the driver here,” Jim said. Separately, the Club called up memory chip maker Micron from the Bullpen this morning. The stock is known for its highly volatile swings, which is why we initiated with a small position. 2. Intel on Tuesday upsized its planned stock sale to help fund AI demand by a third to $20 billion. The company said the offering will be priced at $95 per share. The original $15 billion number was announced Monday, and Intel shares dropped 4% to just over $97 on the news. Jim is confident in Intel’s management and overall strategy. He expects the funds will help grow Intel’s third-party chip manufacturing business. CEO Lip-Bu Tan is someone who “knows how to build things,” Jim said, speculating that Intel would not do the stock sale “unless they have something in hand,” like maybe a new manufacturing customer. “I still think this is my favorite stock in the portfolio,” he added.
