Connecticut officials announced Tuesday new technology training opportunities for state residents as part of a partnership with Amazon, the Office of Workforce Strategy, and Connecticut State Colleges and Universities. The program will help train more than 2,000 residents for careers in cloud computing by 2024.

The agreement provides courses and certificates geared towards the skills required to pursue in-demand careers in technical fields.

“Qualified, high-tech careers are the future of Connecticut. This agreement is a way for people of all backgrounds, ages and socio-economic status to receive the education they need to participate in the future prosperity of the state, ”said Terrance Cheng, President of the CSCU, stressing that the CSCU – Institutions a key component of the Connecticut workforce pipeline.
