Australia should use electricity from coal, gas and uranium and non-renewable energy to power artificial intelligence and advanced robotics, and use its vast land resources to attract investment in data centers, says opposition industry spokesman Andrew Hastie.
After three Amazon data centers in the United Arab Emirates were hit by drones fired from Iran last week, Australia’s advantageous position in energy and land meant it could become “a safe haven for AI investment” in an increasingly volatile world where the rules-based order is breaking down, Hastie said.
