CloudPassage Launches Cloud Secure for Azure

CloudPassage recently announced fortified abilities in its Halo security automation platform. CloudPassage Halo, which now offers configuration and visibility best practices for applications running in Microsoft Azure, is the most extensive public cloud infrastructure security solution in the market.

Cloud Secure, a component of the CloudPassage Halo platform, is an automated Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solution that provides visibility, security, and continual compliance monitoring for storage, compute, networking, identity, and database services. In contrast to point-solutions that offer a disjointed and incomplete view of public cloud services, Cloud Secure delivers an exhaustive, integrated view of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) environments as well as resources from a single interface.

Ryan Thomas, Head of Product, CloudPassage, said, “Previously, centralized IT teams were responsible for selecting and deploying enterprise infrastructure, but now decentralized and high-velocity development teams select and deploy public cloud services as needed. To enable efficient risk assessment and remediation, it’s important that security professionals know what public cloud services are in use, who is consuming those services, and whether they are configured securely.”

The Halo platform provides a variety of benefits, including:

1. Reduce attack surface: It enables companies to cut down the attackable surface area of their public cloud deployments by identifying insecure resource and service configurations so they can fix them.

2. Automatically discover public cloud assets: The platform enables companies to swiftly discover as well as inventory resources and services in use across any number of public cloud accounts in use in the organization so as to improve management of cyber risk.

3. Cut down exposure time: It facilitates quick and efficacious remediation by delivering actionable information to the people who require it in an automated way. It allows them to automate remediation workflows by sending vulnerability as well as remediation data via Amazon SNS and other notification mechanisms.
