Cloud Software Group and Microsoft commit to another eight years of cooperative competition

Cloud Software Group (CSG) and Microsoft have extended their partnership for eight more years, committing $1.65 billion for CSG to utilize Microsoft’s cloud, productivity tools, and AI. Citrix, a long-term Microsoft partner, will remain a preferred friend of Microsoft and a “Microsoft Global Azure Partner Preferred Solution for Enterprise Desktop as a Service” when collaborating with joint Azure customers. This partnership includes Citrix integrations with Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365, highlighting Microsoft’s commitment to serving customers with the best cloud solutions.

The $1.65 billion commitment will require all CSG employees to adopt Microsoft365, equipping them with productivity and AI tools for joint marketing activities. Citrix products will be available on the Azure Marketplace, with Azure becoming the preferred cloud for CSG. Additionally, CSG engineering organizations will introduce GitHub Copilot to enhance developer productivity and accelerate R&D efforts worldwide.

Spotfire, another CSG member, has created a Copilot extension on the Microsoft Azure OpenAI service, demonstrating the deepening relationship between CSG and Microsoft. This renewed alliance signifies a long-term commitment from both parties to collaborate and leverage each other’s strengths in cloud computing, productivity tools, and AI technologies.
