Chaos Gears collaborated with Clariant to develop a generative AI platform based on the company’s existing architecture framework and AI chatbot prototype. The goal was to create a flexible foundation for various generative AI applications using modular building blocks. Chaos Gears also provided training for the Clariant team to enhance their in-house generative AI skills. One major challenge was reviewing and enhancing data sources to ensure quality and relevance. Instead of training a custom large language model, they utilized recovery augmented generation in Amazon Bedrock to customize responses based on relevant information found in the database. Clariant successfully implemented the generative AI platform within 3 months and launched an internal chatbot for 1,000 employees. They continue to work with Chaos Gears and AWS to enhance the tool and explore new features for R&D and sales support.
