Citrix parent company considering selling ShareFile platform arm

The parent company of Citrix Systems Inc., Cloud Software Group Inc., is reportedly exploring the sale of content collaboration platform ShareFile. ShareFile is valued at about $1.5 billion and is expected to attract interest from private equity firms. This move comes as Cloud Software Group begins to streamline under its private equity owners Elliott Investment Management and Vista Equity Partners. The company recently priced a $6.5 billion leveraged loan, the largest in the United States so far this year. Deliberations regarding the sale of ShareFile are in the early stages, and there is no certainty that a transaction will result. Cloud Software Group did not immediately respond to requests for comment, while Vista Equity Partners declined to comment and Elliott Investment Management had no immediate comment.
