Through a $150 million donation over 5 years, Cisco is supporting STEM education and technological modernization programs at HBCUs, focusing on co-innovation, excellence, success, and information exchange.
Over the past three years, Cisco and HBCUs have worked together to donate $66 million in services and software, complete NIST assessments and technology installations, and launch the Cisco Cyber Academy at Denmark Technical Institute. One success story is Denmark Tech, where Cisco’s collaboration has led to the upgrade of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity training programs, and job opportunities for students in cybersecurity. The program has graduated 59 students, including veterans, women, and underserved groups, creating positive impacts on the local economy and community.
