Cisco Live conference in Las Vegas has introduced the CCDE-AI Infrastructure certification program, designed to equip IT professionals with the skills needed to design modern AI and machine learning infrastructure. This training will focus on optimizing network architectures for AI workloads, GPU optimization, creating high-performance AI network fabrics, ensuring security and compliance, and making trade-offs between cost and energy consumption. The certification aims to address the growing gap between AI investments and the workforce’s readiness to implement these technologies effectively.

A recent study by Pluralsight revealed that many executives lack a full understanding of their team’s AI skills, while IT professionals express confidence in integrating AI into their roles. However, only a small percentage have significant experience with AI, highlighting the need for structured training and instruction in this area. The survey emphasized the importance of investing in talent, training, and organizational culture to prepare for the adoption of AI technologies.

Cisco’s partners also stress the importance of training in conjunction with investments in AI. They believe that organizations must develop network architectures suited to AI workloads to leverage the operational efficiencies and business insights that AI can provide. Through training and solution development, organizations can effectively utilize AI capabilities in their network and edge environments.

The CCDE-AI Infrastructure certification testing is set to begin at Cisco Live Amsterdam in February 2025. This program aims to empower IT professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to design infrastructure optimized for AI and machine learning, in line with industry trends and advancements. Cisco Live continues to showcase AI-related product updates and certifications as part of their commitment to driving innovation in the networking industry.
