Cisco Henson, the longtime president of production at Nacelle Company, has died. He was 61.
The two-time Emmy-nominated producer, who had more than 300 credits to his name, died on Monday from gliobastoma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Henson’s wife Aizita Magaña said that her late husband “really cared about the work, but he cared even more about helping others,” adding: “His legacy is the comedy he gave to the world, and his family, friends and colleagues are forever enriched by his presence in their life.”
Among the countless stand-up specials he produced, Henson was behind the debut hour-long specials for stars like Dave Chappelle, Ali Wong, Tom Segura, Andrew Schultz, Tiffany Haddish, Zarna Garg, Jimmy O. Yang, Andrew Santino, Mike Birbiglia and more, in addition to several titles for Netflix, Disney+, HBO, Hulu, Amazon, Peacock, Showtime and Tubi, over the course of his more than 35-year…
