In a recent development, Cisco has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) in Singapore. The collaboration aims to focus on research and development in the fields of 5G and AI technologies to digitally transform public safety, security, and network operations in Singapore. This partnership will pilot innovative projects to enhance Singapore’s national security by leveraging Cisco’s 5G-as-a-Service solution and jointly innovating on AI security operations.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Chan Tsan, CEO of HTX, and Mr. Jonathan Davidson, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Cisco Networking, at a ceremony held at Cisco’s Global Headquarters in San Jose, United States. The partnership represents a significant step towards empowering the local team at HTX to address evolving threats to public safety in Singapore.
Under the collaboration, Cisco and HTX will work on developing and testing different 5G proofs of concept to enhance public safety in Singapore. Additionally, they will collaborate on building a custom network and security operations (AISecOps) platform to effectively address advanced cyber threats using generative AI. This initiative is a part of Cisco’s National Digital Acceleration (CDA) program, with HTX being the first organization in Singapore to sign an MOU under the program.
