BEIJING, Jul 16 (Reuters) – The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) announced Friday that officials from at least seven departments have deployed teams on the ground to conduct a cybersecurity clearance of ride-hailing giant Didi Global Inc (DIDI.N ).
Regulatory agencies include the CAC, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of State Security, the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the State Tax Administration, and the State Administration for Market Regulation.
CAC did not provide any details in its statement, but the involvement of several government agencies shows the increased regulatory pressure on the nine-year-old company.
