Chinese companies’ internationalization push in artificial intelligence is accelerating across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) as AI reshapes global economic development, officials and senior executives said on Saturday.
Artificial intelligence has become a key force driving the global wave of technological and industrial change, profoundly reshaping economic development models and the regional cooperation landscape, said Fu Baozong, deputy director of the Center for International Cooperation at the National Development and Reform Commission.
In early August this year, China issued a guideline to deepen the implementation of the “AI Plus” initiative, highlighting the importance of strengthening global cooperation under “AI Plus”, promoting integrative exchanges of artificial intelligence and promoting the development of a global AI governance system.
