GPT Image 1.5 is OpenAI’s third new model in about a month, arriving next Nano Banana Pro‘s dominant launch (the original version won our Technical Excellence Award). I spent some time with the new guy ChatGPT model and found that it is significantly better than its predecessor. (This is nothing else GPT 5.2 (Situation where few people noticed any differences after the upgrade.) The generated images have fewer errors and distortions and tend to look more realistic. That is, GPT Image 1.5. still remains inferior to Gemini’s leading model in some scenarios. I break it all down below.
